Founded in December 2020 by director Sander Coumou, Waves is dedicated to creating meaningful connection through film. Our approach to impact is simple: We tell the stories that connect us and we connect the stories that make a difference.
We are stationed in Suriname - also known as the country with the largest original forest cover in the world. Our work is rooted here: our team and web of freelancers are local, and we are fortunate enough to collaborate with amazing indigenous and tribal communities of the amazon forest.
